Our unique estate vineyard is located in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. It is bordered on the north by Dry Creek, which has left its legacy by distributing sand and gravelly soil throughout the vineyard. These soils translate into ideal growing conditions for the fruit, yielding deep, concentrated and intense flavors in the wine.
Hand harvested at dawn, the grapes were sorted and de- stemmed and put into tank for a few days to allow for skin contact. Then, using the Saignée (French from bleeding) method, the pink juice from the must (freshly pressed juice) is fermented in stainless steel, and undergoes partial malolactic fermentation.
