Vineyard Notes: Just over 50% of the blend comes from the Wurz vineyard, which is just a stones’ throw from the Silenus estate in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. The next 22% is from the Silenus estate Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard located in Oak Knoll.  This is a very special location and the vineyard has a long history of producing extraordinary Cabernet Sauvignon.  Then final 22% is Merlot from the “Ranch 9” vineyard located at on Monticello road, north/east of the town of Napa.

Tasting Notes:

Deep, ruby red color. Wild berry and wood fragrance on the nose. On the palate, there are very rich and deep fruit flavors of raspberry, cherry, plum and a touch of fig with vanilla and cocoa flavors mixed in. Very long finish with dense fruit – cherry pie filling, cappuccino, and cedar.

This is THE classic wine to pair with red meat. It is also excellent with rich soft cheeses.
