Heading west out of Napa through the Mayacamas mountains and in to the grass and vine covered rolling hills that make up the Los Carneros AVA. You will find a vineyard that is planted on the outer edges of reason and what can be. This site was once planted to Apples and Pears but in the early eighties was transformed in to its current state, a Pinot Noir vineyard. Three clones were planted at the site 667, Martini and Kunde make up the vineyard. Betty Lou Mukerji over saw the planting and upkeep of the vineyard until her passing. She was a spirited woman who’s desire to experience life took her all around the world. We feel her spirit is well represented within this wine. Light, fragrant and jovial by nature with a serious side that affirms its presence even with its light touch. The grapes were allowed to rest for nearly a month before being pressed off sweet and allowed to ferment in once used Burgundy Barrels. There is a beautiful mix of fresh fruit meets savory on this wine that makes you want more and more. It represents a willingness to pursuit individuality in a sea of others that all just seem the same.
