Our small production Napa Valley Red Wine is always a blend of Bordeaux
varietals, with the composition changing with each vintage. This 2016 Red Wine is Merlot dominant. The bright red fruit profile of Merlot is supported by the structure and heft of Cabernet Sauvignon.
At its core, the wine is a blend of fresh red cherries, blackberries,
raspberries, and little French red groseilles. Seasoned with spice and vanilla notes, the wine has hints of cola, toffee, and licorice. These orbit the fruit like a cloud of finely spun brown sugar. Green peppercorn and savory herb keep the wine firmly rooted in the dry-farmed earth.
It is richly textured with soft tannins.
The wine is ready to drink now. Time in cellar will only add to the
complexity of the aromas and bouquet. This wine will cellar 10 to 12 years.
