Our small production Napa Valley Red Wine is always a blend of Bordeaux varietals, with the composition changing with each vintage year. This 2018 Red Wine is Merlot dominant. The bright red fruit profile of Merlot is supported by the structure and heft of Cabernet Sauvignon.
The initial impression is red fruit. Concentrated aromas of bright red cherries, bing cherries, and wild ripe strawberries are supported by sumac, hibiscus tea, clove, and vanilla. The palate expands with an earthy complexity composed of loam and dust in addition to a light, floral note.
This is a wine of medium body with a velvety tannic structure. The finishing taste is that of spicy and ripe red fruit with a nice length.
92% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon
