Cabernet Sauvignon from the Johnson vineyard in Napa Valley.

The small crop and berry size allows for full maturity of the grapes at lower sugar levels allowing us to make a true regional and varietal wine at 13.5% alcohol.  Being European trained, these vineyards allows me to produce a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as a balanced, complete wine.  The wine was aged for 27 months in French Oak creating a flavorful wine with well rounded tannins.

Tasting Notes:

Well structured, chewy, firm, violets, hints of mint, light Eucalyptus and the smell of dust after a fresh rain. Cabernet made the way it used to be made back in the 50’s and 60’s in the “Old World” style.
