We craft our Suisun Valley Sauvignon Blanc from grapes grown in the Lambert vineyard, a small, meticulously maintained family vineyard just a stone throw from the Napa/Suisun line. This location is more protected from the influence of the Pacific Ocean and offers a slightly warmer climate that brings out the tropical notes. After foot stomping the grapes upon arrival at the winery, we let it cold soak for several days before pressing and then barrel fermented the wine in neutral French barrels.
On the nose you will find pears, exotic guava and river rocks. The wine has some influence from Bordeaux by fermenting in French barrels to give this release a great texture that makes it lively from the start. The mid-palate is incredibly creamy, and the wine finishes bone-dry with a long lingering finish. This is a big mouthful of Sauvignon Blanc. For all of you oyster lovers, this is for you.
