The newest addition to the Tarpon Family, this Gewurztraminer is part of the American Beauty series that celebrates oyster farmers.  Fermented and aged in a concrete egg, the fruit is from the Balletto Vineyard in the Russian River Valley.  Foggy nights preserve the acid that is the foundation for this bone dry example of a classic aromatic white. Bursting with floral notes and potpourri, the concrete lends a touch of minerality not often found in domestic whites. This wine was made specifically to raise money and awareness for Oyster South, a non-profit dedicated to supporting the advnacement of aquaculture in the South.  That means that 1% of all sales will go to the organization, and we encourage you to follow them on Instagram @OysterSouth

Tasting Notes:

Aged in a concrete egg for one year, this Gewürtztraminer shows depth early in the nose with lychee and grapefruit rind, followed by pineapple core and baking spices.  The entry is exotic and juicy, with peach pit and ginger.  The finish shows hints of minerality, with the the bone dry acidity leading the way for limestone and a velvet mouthfeel.
