Vineyard:
This Yountville Sauvignon Blanc was harvested in the early morning twilight, while the Vaca Mountain Ridge just above to the east was aglow with raging flames. Luckily, the prevailing winds were blowing all the smoke on eastward and away from the vineyard.
Winemaker’s Notes:
The grapes were picked when ripe but not over ripe producing a balanced enjoyable wine that goes well with food while not overpowering it. Made with no oak and Malo-lactic to be aroma rich expressing what the vineyard has to offer.
Tasting Notes:
This Sauvignon Blanc showing Napa Valley varietal minerality with hints of dried apricot, Meyer lemon, peach and stone fruits finishes with fresh and balanced crispness.
